KABUL: Presided over by President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the High Economic Council (HEC) held meeting at the presidential palace on Monday.
The meeting discussed the procedure on distribution of lands in Barikaab’s industrial and agricultural park, the private sector’s problems in term of agriculture, the agreement on using construction materials and rebidding of salt mine in Ghorian district, Herat province, a statement from the president office said.
At the outset, the procedure of lands distribution in agricultural and industrial park in Barikaab presented by a Capital Regional Independent Development Authority’s in-charge, the statement further said.
Likewise, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, ministers of finance and commerce and industries, acting minister of economy Mustafa Mastour, head of NPC Ilham Omar Hotaki, and some other officials briefed the meeting about easing land distribution to traders, management of Barikaab industrial park and its power, considering a small place for small entrepreneurs in the mentioned park.
Afterward, the president said the industrial parks responsibility should be taken to the ministry of commerce and it should prepare a policy in this regard.
